Marjorie Failoni

Marjorie Failoni is a musical theater major at the University of Michigan, class of 2008. This summer she is appearing at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Indiana. Marjorie has performed at THE MUNY in the professional adult ensemble and MUNY Teens/Kids, beginning with the role of Molly in Annie in 1994, and she has had significant experience in school and community theater. Favorite roles include Anita in West Side Story, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Lois/Bianca in Kiss Me Kate, Molly Malloy in The Front Page, Kitty Duval in Time of Your Life, and Sandra Kay in Smile.

She has been featured in the St. Louis Tap Festival Showcase and has tap danced with Marvin Hamlisch and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. She has also danced in The Nutcracker with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal and was a featured soloist in the Fox Theatre's 75th Anniversary Show in St. Louis. She has studied voice with Sheila Dugan since 2000. Marjorie has studied dance extensively at the Professional Dance Center in St. Louis and is proficient in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, and hip-hop. She has studied by audition at Interlochen Arts Camp and New York City Dance Alliance.

She has won numerous awards in voice and theater at regional speech meets and district/state solo festivals and scored high-point for dance solos in tap, jazz and pointe in many regional and national competitions. A native St. Louisan, she graduated from Rosati-Kain High School.
