Anita Shastri

Anita Shastri is a 14-year-old honor student at Lindbergh High School. Anita was last seen on THE MUNY stage as July in last summer's production of Annie. She has appeared in MUNY main-stage productions since 1999, beginning with her role as a royal child in The King and I. She has been a member of the summer and winter MUNY Kids Touring Troupe and in the main-stage productions of Beauty and The Beast and Jesus Christ Superstar.

This past December Anita spent her Christmas with the original Broadway cast of Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber's production of Bombay Dreams, where she understudied the role of Munna. Anita currently studies dance at Krupinski Academy of Dance and piano with Ms. Diane Ceccarrini.

Anita is happy and grateful to be studying voice with Ms. Sheila Dugan. Anita would like to thank Mark, Diane, her family and friends, and especially Sheila for all of their encouragement, and for making her an all-around better person. Thank you!
