Who Is Sheila Dugan?Sheila Dugan is one of our nation's most well respected voice teachers. Her excellent work with students is recognized at America's finest universities and on America's most important stages. Sheila is an innovator in the area of non-abusive voice production. The techniques that she has created, especially because of her many years as a voice rehabilitator, helps the singer/speaker/actor achieve maximum volume and endurance without stress on the vocal instrument (or the body!). Ms. Dugan is a master teacher of voice who has restored voices with complex challenges, including unilateral vocal fold paralysis. With more than 37 years of experience as a voice trainer and voice rehabilitator, Sheila Dugan has taught at the university (Southern Illinois University ) and conservatory levels (St. Louis Conservatory and Schools for the Arts), and has served as voice coach for both Stages St. Louis and Metro Theatre Company. She teaches private voice, public speaking refinement, coaches singers, actors, dancers, and provides the service of voice rehabilitation upon medical referral in St. Louis, Missouri. She also enjoys teaching at her periodic voice studio in New York City. Sheila Dugan is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Voice and Speech Trainers Association, and is listed in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who of Entertainment, and Who's Who of American Education .
